The Sunday edition of the Idaho Statesman (the Boise paper) has a contest in the Outdoor section. They post a picture and have readers submit guesses about where the photo was taken. Sometimes the picture is a trailhead, a lake, or some other "outdoorsy" place.
Since my brain is fried after just getting home here at 7 PM, I have a guessing game for you. Unfortunately I don't have any prizes to award, but I hope you have fun seeing what everyone thinks.
What is this picture of? Leave me a comment with your guess!

Could it be a birdbath with frost?
ReplyDeleteRuth
I was thinking along those lines too - a birdbath with the water frozen in it ~ karen
ReplyDeleteNope. No birdbath, nothing frozen.
DeleteSome type of web - it looks as if some bees are stuck there.
ReplyDeleteThere are some bugs in there, but it's not a web.
DeleteA light globe before spring cleaning? - karen
DeleteGood guess, but no.
DeleteWell what a mystery picture. Now i think its a center of a flower that is sticky and attracted and held onto the bugs that got near. I just off the phone with Nona and we had quite a discussion on what this might be; Nona guessed a blue plate that had milk in it for the kitty and it attracted a few bugs or the bottom of a pail that had paint left in it. Did one of us guess right? Mom
ReplyDeleteIt's not a center of a flower.
DeleteBlue plate that had milk in it for kitty? Getting a bit closer...
Lid of the garbage can? - Lisa

DeleteA pets frozen water bowl?
ReplyDeleteGetting close!
DeleteCould it be an empty pot just waiting to be filled with a beautiful plant for this season? Nona
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately, no.
DeleteSo here are some of the correct pieces:
ReplyDelete*bowl
*kitty
*water (but not frozen)
*blue

Deletethe sugar that got knocked off the counter when kitty was going to get a drink from that blue water bowl??? - karen
ReplyDeleteGood thought, but not sugar.
DeleteThis is driving me nuts --didn't have far to go-- but is the kitty's blue water bowl covered with a sheet of saran wrap, glad wrap with elements from cold temperature making the pretty textured patterns? Nona
ReplyDeleteKitty blue water bowl is correct, but no saran wrap and no cold temperatures.
DeleteThe white is dried up milk. Lisa
